Vaughan Carter

Born and raised in the South West, Vaughan has been self-employed in farming and horticulture since 1987. From those beginnings he spent the next 35 years managing all aspects of a mixed agricultural enterprise focusing on soil nutrition, animal husbandry, and marketing produce.

He grew around 1200 ton of potatoes and 800 turn-off lambs per annum, employing two farm hands and occasional seasonal workers. Active within the Potato Growers’ Association, Vaughan served as a Board Member, Vice Chair and finally Chair until 2023. 

Seeking a career change in 2026, Vaughan was keen to accept an offer from veteran agent Brian Moulton (co-founder of Acton Belle South West), to use his farming experience and local knowledge to help people buying and selling rural and residential property within the region he knows so well.

Vaughan joins the team at a time of strong population growth in the South West, along with significant changes in the agricultural sector. Vaughan is ready to meet those challenges, applying his vast knowledge and skill to help his clients achieve their goals.
