Cowaramup
Encompassing 95 square metres of undulating pastures, Cowaramup earned its name unofficial name of Cow-town for its dairy industry, evident from the quirky lifesize cow statues dotted around the region. Cowaramup sits in the heart of the Margaret River Region and is well-placed to explore the region, including wineries, breweries and outstanding cuisine.The population of 2,000+ consists mainly of farming families who head 12km south to Margaret River for their shopping and amenities, although the town does have Cowaramup Primary School and grocery stores.
Situated on Bussell Highway, many visitors familiar with this town’s charm stop on their way to Margaret River, and beyond, unless they’re staying at one of the bed and breakfasts or quaint rural cottages.
