Lake Coogee
One of Perth’s newest suburbs, Lake Coogee was officially recognised in March 2020 to replace parts of nearby Munster. Since then, residents have been proud to call this beautiful slice of coastal suburbia home. The intimate seaside hamlet takes its name from the sparkling waters of Lake Coogee on the suburb’s western border, offering great fishing, boating and hiking through the surrounding picturesque Boodjar Mooliny Reserve.
Spanning about 3.4 km², Lake Coogee is roughly 26km south of Perth, and less than 10kms to nearby Fremantle. At its heart is the vast expanse of Santich Park where locals can walk the dog, use the indoor sports and leisure centre, play on the sporting fields or use any one of a number of kids’ playgrounds. Housing here is a mix of stylish contemporary family residences and classic old brick homes, all at much more affordable price ranges than downtown Perth.
If you live in Lake Coogee, you will enjoy convenient access to a wide range of local amenities, including beautiful parks and reserves, Coogee Beach, and shopping at Coogee Plaza and the Phoenix Shopping Centre in neighbouring Spearwood. St Jerome's Primary School is a favourite among local kids, but you can also skip across to Newton Primary or Coogee Primary in the adjoining areas. For the best blend of space, amenity, community-friendly surrounds and relaxed beachside ambience, this is a wonderful place to secure your family's future.
