Castaways Beach
Sunrise Beach, Castaways Beach, and Marcus Beach are the three beaches that comprise Noosa’s Eastern Beaches. Taking up residence on the long stretch of sand between Sunshine Beach and Peregian Beach, the Eastern Beaches of Noosa are more secluded than Noosa’s Main Beach but equally as magnificent.
Travel just 4 kilometres south of Noosa Heads and you’ll hit Sunrise Beach. A holidaymaker’s haven, Sunrise Beach is a popular destination for families and couples looking for a beachside location with a no-fuss ambience. The glorious stretch of white sand and rolling waves is similar to popular Sunshine Beach but without the crowds. Tingira Crescent offers stunning panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.
Drive another five minutes south, and you’ll find the picturesque Castaways Beach. With crystal clear waters on one side and sprawling national parks on the other, Castaways Beach is a nature lover’s paradise. A handful of shops, convenience stores and holiday accommodations can be found in the area, as well as dog-friendly spots along the beachfront. Marcus Beach is another three kilometres south along David Low Way. Along with family homes and beach houses, Marcus Beach accommodates residents in the elegant gated community of Marcus Dunes, which offers breathtaking views to Mooloolaba, Sunshine Beach, and Lion’s Head.
Away from the beach, all three suburbs are a stone’s throw away from Noosa Springs Country Course, Lake Weyba, and the impressive Noosa National Park. While Sunrise Beach, Castaways Beach, and Marcus Beach are all unpatrolled, their superb location, perfectly white sand, and killer waves make for a spectacular destination on Queensland’s glamorous Sunshine Coast.
