Since opening in 1985 Hockingstuart has fundamentally improved the Victorian real estate industry.
We were the first agency to publish its properties for sale in a magazine format. We were the first to conduct auctions on Sundays, and to recognise the power of the internet when we introduced our online property alert in 2001. Did you know that we were also the first brand to install night lights on signboards?
In 2017, we launched an industry-first suite of digital marketing tools, changing the way that customers interact with properties online. We are allowing buyers to virtually furnish the property that they're looking to make their next home and even virtually renovate the existing kitchen to their taste, allowing our clients to dream big.
In 2019, we made our boldest move to date. We merged with leading boutique brand Belle Property; a strategic decision from both businesses to build on and combine the superior real estate services of two great Australian brands.
Founded on an alignment with the Belle lifestyle magazine, Belle Property is Australia’s leading boutique real estate network specialising in superior customer service and premium outcomes at any price level.
A combined network, with two distinct brands, Hockingstuart is now a part of not only a strong Victorian network of 39 offices across two brands, but a broader national network of more than 120 offices across the eastern seaboard of Australia.

Hockingstuart has a proud association with the Robert Connor Dawes Foundation since 2017 and enjoys participating in the annual Connor's Run event to raise much needed funds for brain cancer research.
